Activision is preparing to implement a new anti-cheat system in Call of Duty: Warzone called RICOCHET.
In this article we will review everything we know so far about its launch.
When does the RICOCHET anti-cheat come out?
The RICOCHET anti-cheat system will be implemented in conjunction with Call of Duty: Vanguard weapons and the new map in the Pacific.
As for its release date, Activision ensures that these elements will arrive after the launch of Call of Duty: Vanguard. Let’s remember that this next installment developed by Sledgehammer Games will be released on Friday, November 5.
Taking that into account, we believe that the anti-cheat will arrive in late November / early December.
As with the weapons in Black Ops Cold War last year, all of this content is likely to be released with Season 1 of Vanguard and Warzone.
Note that the anti-cheat will first be implemented in Warzone and later it will be used in Vanguard.
As soon as we have a specific date we will be updating this article duly.
How will RICOCHET work?
RICOCHET will be a robust anti-cheat system that will use various elements to detect cheating. One of these will be a Kernel-level driver that will scan the PC for software that attempts to alter the game.
The driver will only be activated when the game starts and will shut down once it is closed. According to Activision, this will help maintain user privacy.
With the information obtained, the RICOCHET system will be able to deduce which software is malicious or not more easily.
